Desktop Support Analyst - Columbia, SC

Location: Columbia, SC (Remote initially through office launch; onsite beginning January 2027)

Schedule: W2 contract to hire; M-F 8am-5pm Eastern

Pay Rate: $26.00 - $31.25/hour plus overtime

Position Overview

We are seeking a Desktop Support Analyst to provide technical support for end users across hardware, software, and enterprise technology environments. This role will focus on troubleshooting issues, supporting device deployments, managing user accounts, and ensuring a high level of customer service for employees. The position will begin remotely and transition to an onsite role in Columbia, SC when the office opens in January 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop, laptop, mobile device, and peripheral support for end users.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, and application issues remotely and onsite.
  • Deploy, configure, image, and maintain Windows-based devices.
  • Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and equipment lifecycle management.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and password resets in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Assist with software installation, updates, patching, and endpoint management.
  • Manage tickets, document solutions, and provide timely communication to users.
  • Support conference room technology, collaboration tools, and productivity applications.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory and technical documentation.
  • Follow security best practices and escalate potential risks when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of desktop support, help desk, or IT support experience.
  • Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and endpoint management tools.
  • Familiarity with device deployment, software updates, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, or similar technical certifications.
  • Experience with Intune, ServiceNow, endpoint security tools, or mobile device management solutions.

Additional Information

  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Annual travel to company headquarters required.
  • Overtime may be available based on business needs.
